Teacher Sara Ozbun opened the service.

Rachael Gilmore led worship.

During worship, Apostle Susan Powers shared the following Scripture from the Lord:

For the Lord would say I will pour out my Spirit upon ALL people.  Your sons and daughters will prophesy.  Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions, and in those days, I will pour out my Spirit even on servants and on men and women alike.   (Joel 2:28-29)

Message: Apostle Susan Powers

November 14th, 2025, Apostle Emeritus George Powers moved into a new season of life, which, in turn, led to a new season in the life of Apostle Susan, his life partner of almost 40 years.

This began a process that led to this message today.

Last year’s Word from the Lord was: PRESSURE.  (2025)  It meant different things to different people, and we didn’t even know what it meant at the time.  It’s only through pressure that diamonds are formed, olive oil is made, new wine comes from the grape, and that God is able to squeeze out your tears and fears.  It’s in the crushing that His anointing comes.

Every generation that has come through this house in the last 3 decades were seeded into a territory into which they were being sent.  We didn’t see it that way, and we want to have them here, but the NT testament church model is that very few got to stay.  There’s someone in the future that will not have the opportunity to meet Jesus if you don’t get moving and do your job.  It is coming to the point where the pressure is going to bring the unexpected Word for 2026.

As November 14th came and went, Apostle Susan found herself saying a phrase, prophesying when she didn’t even know it: “I’m living the dream.”

Apostle Susan knew if she started rehearsing the problem, it would start a downward spiral.  She is NOT saying to deny your feelings.  Things happen.   But she didn’t want to dwell on it.

On December 18, Apostle Lisa McFarland came for a 3 hour visit to encourage Apostle Susan.  There was no natural reason for her to know Apostle Susan needed encouragement THAT DAY.  She brought a gift - and Apostle Susan’s flesh got a little offended.  Because many people who want to tell you how to live your experience have no idea what you are experiencing, and sometimes we inflict pain where we want to bring comfort.

So Apostle Lisa brought a gift…and in her flesh, Apostle Susan was offended.

We give power to what we focus on, so Apostle Susan chose to set the offense aside, because she knows Apostle Lisa and her heart. In this year to come, it will be important to say “I’m sorry, please forgive me,” and not let offense settle.  There is no relationship you have that is worth severing your relationship with the Lord by your offense with another!!!

So, Apostle Susan was walking through all this back and forth, between cities, between hospitals, etc.  The holidays looked different than ever before.  Nothing was what had been expected.  (What are your expectations of 2026?)

Expectations are impregnated in you in your conception, because God did a thing when He made YOU UNIQUELY YOU.  NO ONE in the history of the world has ever been or ever will be EXACTLY LIKE YOU.  You are not designed to be like someone else - unity is not uniformity.

(Side story from Apostle Susan’s mother’s church, whose pastor is Korean.  He is very intelligent and very learned.  Very well studied.  A few weeks into the fall of 2025, he gave a message about how unique you are…except he pronounced it “eunuch.”  So he kept telling the congregation how they were “eunuch.”  His heart was in the right place, but the word pronunciation changed the meaning of the message!  It’s funny, but it shows something about how we, the capital C church, operates. You are not a eunuch.  You are unique.)

Anyway…

Apostle Susan was going through all this, and she kept saying “living the dream,” Apostle Lisa came and brought a gift, Apostle Susan was offended, and also thankful that Lisa was there…God uses all of that to get you where you need to be at the right time and the right place with the right revelation.

YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.

YOU ARE NOT AT THE END OF YOUR LIFE.

YOU ARE RIGHT WHERE YOU NEED TO BE, AND HE HAS A PLAN…BUT ITS HIS PLAN, NOT YOURS.

The Lord reminded her of a Word through a young woman in our church (Anna Ozbun) about FEAR.  Stop saying “my anxiety.”  It doesn’t own you.  It doesn’t belong to you.

Anna is living the message for 2026 already.  She is working on attaining the Word for 2026.

The Word for 2026: DREAM.

All along, Apostle Susan has been saying “I’m living the dream.”  It’s not a dream, it’s horrible.  But God was saying “you’re living the dream.”

We all think we know what that means.  But we don’t know what it means, not at all.

Stop living in an old dream, and stop saying “I can’t.”  Because Jesus says “you can and you will, and I am with you.”

Definition of dream:

Noun:

Series of thoughts, images, sensation occurring in a person’s mind during sleep.

Cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal.

Verb:

To experience dreams during sleep.

To indulge in daydreams or fantasies about something that is greatly desired.

These are the world’s definitions of dream.

Biblical definition:

Significant divine communication from God serving as messages, warnings, prophecies, or sources of comfort and instruction, fulfilling prophecy, as in Joel 2:28 (like when it was proclaimed on our altar today!) Some dreams offer clear guidance.  (Such as Joseph’s dream about instructions about saving Jesus from death.  Jacob’s dream of the ladder.) Other dreams require discernment and wisdom to interpret symbolic meanings - as in Daniel.

There are 103 verses that record a reference to the word “dream.”  94 in the Old Testament and 9 in the New Testament.  It applies to you!

Most of us were told to stop dreaming - “you’re too this, you’re too that.”  But our goals should be to release ourselves and our children INTO the dreams.

Further in the Biblical definition: Discerning and wisdom to interpret symbolic meanings, such as in Daniel, and distinguishing them from random thoughts or potentially deceptive ones, (not every dream is from God!)  Often you need to test Biblical dreams with the Scriptures and also seek wise counsel.  Some of the key meanings of Biblical dreams such as the very first recording of a dream in the Bible is…not what you think!  And sometimes we have bumpers built in, like in bowling, to keep us in line.

It’s Genesis 20:3-6:

3 But that night God came to Abimelech in a dream and told him, “You are a dead man, for that woman you have taken is already married!”

4 But Abimelech had not slept with her yet, so he said, “Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation? 5 Didn’t Abraham tell me, ‘She is my sister’? And she herself said, ‘Yes, he is my brother.’ I acted in complete innocence! My hands are clean.”

6 In the dream God responded, “Yes, I know you are innocent. That’s why I kept you from sinning against me, and why I did not let you touch her.

He doesn’t need your permission to speak to you in a dream!

Where are the bumpers in Abimelech’s story?  It’s the reality that we want God to be rainbows and unicorns, but He is the Master of All Truth, and in His Kindness and Mercy He did not just strike Abimelech dead.

Genesis 41 - the story of Joseph.  Joseph was in prison, and at times, he spoke out of season and out of timing.  It’s important to be careful with what God gives you in dreams.

This is NOT saying you shouldn’t dream - you should!

New Testament Dreams:

Joseph (look in Matthew)

Matthew 1:20

20 As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 2:12

Matthew 2:13

12 When it was time to leave, they returned to their own country by another route, for God had warned them in a dream not to return to Herod.

13 After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother,” the angel said. “Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

Why did the Lord send them back to Egypt?  To protect them Herod as he was trying to destroy all male children in order to destroy the coming King.

Acts 2:16-18

16 No, what you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel:

17 ‘In the last days,’ God says,
‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your young men will see visions,
and your old men will dream dreams.
18 In those days I will pour out my Spirit
even on my servants—men and women alike—
    and they will prophesy.

What is the beginning, and what had been prophesied?  The outpouring of the Holy Spirit!  And this is what was written from the prophet Joel:

Back to Word for 2026 being “dream”…when she spoke that, some of the congregation felt a leap in your spirit, because you have a dream that God put in your heart before your conception.  The thumbprint of God in every human ever conceived.  He  gives each one of us a dream.  For those of us that are older, there have been many dreams in our lives that have come and gone, and we think we have lived the fulfillment of some dreams…but we’re all still here, so it’s not finished!

There are some missed dreams because others told us not to dream.  We are dream killers to one another.  Many times unintentionally.

Sometimes there is another path, and sometimes that is wisdom.  Don’t hear what she is not saying - sometimes parents and those that are older have ways of speaking wisdom and speaking to more “realistic” dreams.  Sometimes it’s God, and sometimes not…many of us have had dreams killed for generations.  So now we are afraid to dream, and we stay between the bumpers.  Because to be wild is wrong.

Letters to the Church by Francis Chan - one of the chapters from that book was about the tame, leashed church.  We were made to be WILD in the right way NOW.  Not in the sinful way, but in the wild way.  Things won’t happen if you won’t try!

Will you fail?  Maybe, but failure by whose standard?  Is it failure or is it opportunity?

If you mess up, and it leads your life down a different path…God will give you a new dream!  God meets you where you are at, because you belong to Him, and He is not giving you up!  You can run, but you can’t hide!

Even those who seem like they don't have a relationship with Him, they were MADE BY HIM.  EVERY HUMAN LIFE WAS MADE BY HIM - so who do they belong to?  GOD.

When we step out of line and sin, He has already sent His Son to recover us.  Everyone has a past, everybody is a sinner.   But His timing is perfect, and He doesn’t give up on us.  He will keep telling us, in His way and timing, that He is what we need.

He is the ALL Consuming Fire (interjection from Andi Colyer).  While we think in a certain way - the bumpers on the bowling aisle - it’s not always the protection of the Lord, sometimes it’s barriers we erect.

Do you believe God wants you to be wild?  He wants you to realize the dream He put inside of you at conception!!  He didn’t make you for containment!  And His callings are irrevocable!

So what keeps us back?  Religion.  Getting back inside the bumpers.  Staying with what we know where it is “safe.”  That is containment, and that is not of the Lord.

God gave us free will, and we screw it up. Sometimes we think if we have a dream that’s from the Lord, He is going to do it FOR us. But He has an expectation that YOU dream with HIM, and He helps you attain the dream that’s in you!  And NONE of us have attained the fullness of the stature of Christ.

You have dreams inside of you that maybe you don’t know are there.

As Apostle Susan sat down to write this message, she glanced to the right and saw a planner that said “dream, plan, do.”  She opened the gift from Apostle Lisa, and it included the book The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson.  As well as a hat. This hat has a coat of many colors on the band.  It also has a gold feather for prosperity, and a piece of wheat with the kernel still attached, and a big thing that says DREAM BIG.

Apostle Susan had some offense at the idea that in the midst of the sorrow, she should DREAM BIG.  But what Apostle Lisa was saying is that God is not done.  He still has a dream inside of Apostle Susan that she can’t fathom yet in this valley.  There’s lots of shadows in the valley.  And there will be an ending.  Other apostles have spoken to her: “Susan, you know where this is going.”  Her head knows, but her heart isn’t ready.  But none of this negates the Dream or The Dream Giver.

This book is a little allegorical story in which you can see yourself.  It’s a revelation about why you are on the planet.  The main character’s name is Ordinary, and he lives in an ordinary place and does what all other ordinary people do every day.

What do you think of when you think of “ordinary”?  Do you think…”that’s me”?

Does the name Ordinary ever fit you?  When you’ve lost your dream, you become ordinary!

I mean…what else are you supposed to do?  We have all kinds of reasons why we can’t be EXTRAordinary.

YOU WERE NEVER DESIGNED TO BE ORDINARY.  STOP SETTLING FOR ORDINARY.

How old were Caleb and Joshua when they received their inheritance?  In their 80s.  That’s when they BEGAN their dream.

Apostle Susan told the Lord this season was the worst thing she was going through…and the Lord shifted her perspective: it is NOT the worst thing she’d ever gone through.  Sometimes we need a shift in perspective.

Excerpt from The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson:

It’s so easy to get caught up in the demands of life. And we all take refuge at times in routines and recliners and “usual” anything! But if we’re just marking time—instead of making a life —we have put our Big Dream on hold. Years pass. Personal losses pile up. We lose our sense of meaning and purpose. We spend our energy unproductively. And the big picture of why God put us on earth in the ɹrst place begins to fade from view. Tragically, a whole lifetime can pass without a person ever accomplishing the Great Things he or she was born to do and wants to do. What keeps people from embracing and pursuing their God-given Dreams? I’ve noticed ɹve common but deadly misconceptions:

“I don’t have a Dream.”

“I have to invent my Dream.”

“I have a Dream, but it’s not that important.”

“I have a Dream, but it’s up to God to make it happen.”

“I had a Dream, but it’s too late.”

Take a minute to check your own beliefs. Read each statement carefully. Do any of these describe your beliefs about a Big Dream for your life? (If you’re not sure, look at your actions. What you do is usually a result of what you actually believe.) But each of these five misconceptions is a trap. If you’re caught in one of them, you will never leave Familiar until you reject your wrong thinking and embrace the truth. So let’s look at the truths that can set a Dreamer free.

You do have a Dream. It’s part of what it means to be human, created in the image of God.

You don’t have to invent your Dream. Like the color of your eyes or your one-of-a-kind smile, your Big Dream was planted in you before you were born. The psalmist David wrote that all the days of his life had been “fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.”

Your Dream is unique and important. You have been handcrafted by God to accomplish a part of His Big Dream for the world. How? Your Big Dream is meant to fulfill a Big Need he cares deeply about. The reason you’re here is to take a part of His Dream from Point A to Point B. No one else can do it quite like you.

Your Dream is yours to act on. God is waiting for you to value His gift of your Dream enough to live it. He will not force you to choose. Nor will he “make it happen” for you. You must choose. You must act. Paul’s amazingly productive life was shaped by a single, driving commitment—to “lay hold” of that for which God had laid hold of him.

Your Big Dream is what God has laid hold of you to do. And fortunately, it’s never too late to act on your Dream! Just ask Moses.

Our assignment in 2026: you can stay right where you are, ordinary and familiar, having the same old struggles, or you can let go.

Anna: grew up from being a fearful child to living out a dream to go to Guatemala for six months in the mission field.  And we will ALL benefit from seeing that dream fulfilled in you!

Joshua: went away to college.  Didn’t stay in the safe home place of PSU.  And he is seed sown, right now in Wichita, and beyond in the world.

So what about you?  Where are you going to let God blow your spirit this year?  Are you offended because we are being challenged to let go of the Big Dream and stop being ordinary?  God is saying today - this year, He wants you to ask Him what the Big Dream was inside of you when He was forming you.  He won’t give you every detail because we get our hands in God’s business.

Apostle Susan’s challenge to us:  what are you going to do about it?  What are you going to do about the Big Dream?  What are you going to do about God calling you right now to Dream the Big Dream?  It’s not something you can attain - it’s only something HE can attain.

That can be somewhat terrifying.  John in the Book of Revelation had visions and saw things no one had ever seen.  These things can happen to you - and you might be part of someone else’s Big Dream, and they won’t be released until you speak it!

Revelation 1:1-2

This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John, who faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

This is the same John that had had all thes horrible, tortuous things done to him.  And you think you have it bad?  You’re not being boiled in hot oil!

Revelation 1:9-10

9 I, John, am your brother and your partner in suffering and in God’s Kingdom and in the patient endurance to which Jesus calls us. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and for my testimony about Jesus. 10 It was the Lord’s Day, and I was worshiping in the Spirit. Suddenly, I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet blast.

What does it mean, “in the Spirit”?  Possibly - in a new place, in a dream with the Lord?  There, but not really there?  If these are the prophecies for the end of days, shouldn't we be experiencing these things as well?   Releasing power for others to dream?

Apostle Susan has a Dream about the Gardens of CCC.  And she will not be the only one!  We are all each of us here for this time, these reasons…and if we don’t let go of the safety, of our bumpers, we won’t move forward!  We’ll stay the same.

And we’re not going to let that happen.

Are you asking God what the Big Dream was when He placed you in your mother’s womb?  Are you living that dream?  Because that’s the goal.

And it’s yours to manage…but God puts our dreams together to work together!  Because that’s what God does!

Ending song:  “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman.  Link: https://youtu.be/0r4IdZ8xQVM?si=Uk4uk3I2P0GSbVf2

Lyrics:

I close my eyes and I can see

A world that's waiting up for me

That I call my own

Through the dark, through the door

Through where no one's been before

But it feels like home

They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy

They can say, they can say I've lost my mind

I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy

We can live in a world that we design

'Cause every night I lie in bed

The brightest colors fill my head

A million dreams are keeping me awake

I think of what the world could be

A vision of the one I see

A million dreams is all it's gonna take

A million dreams for the world we're gonna make

There's a house we can build

Every room inside is filled

With things from far away

The special things I compile

Each one there to make you smile

On a rainy day

They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy

They can say, they can say we've lost our minds

I don't care, I don't care if they call us crazy

Runaway to a world that we design

Every night I lie in bed

The brightest colors fill my head

A million dreams are keeping me awake

I think of what the world could be

A vision of the one I see

A million dreams is all it's gonna take

Oh, a million dreams for the world we're gonna make

However big, however small

Let me be part of it all

Share your dreams with me

You may be right, you may be wrong

But say that you'll bring me along

To the world you see

To the world I close my eyes to see

I close my eyes to see

Every night I lie in bed

The brightest colors fill my head

A million dreams are keeping me awake

A million dreams, a million dreams

I think of what the world could be

A vision of the one I see

A million dreams is all it's gonna take

A million dreams for the world we're gonna make

For the world we're gonna make
