Apostle Susan Powers opened the service with a review of the month of Sivan. In particular, she focused on the fact that this is the month of abundance, and camels are representative of abundance because they are capable of carrying heavy loads. They were of great value in Biblical times because of their strength and ability to go through desert places and not collapse. She referenced the story of Rebekah and Isaac in Genesis, and she brought a stuffed camel wearing Apostle George’s treasure/seed from Father’s Day to represent treasure we need and seed being sown. She also brought a bottle of anointing oil to represent the giving of the Holy Spirit. These items will be displayed in the sanctuary throughout the month of Sivan.

“Good Question”
Review of where we’ve been over the past few weeks in this series on Asking a Good Question. We need to know where we’re headed; this series has been a launching pad for What Comes Next. It’s important to look at what comes next…that it’s not about just getting saved, and following the rules, but it’s about RELATIONSHIPS. It’s about moving all of this from our head to our hearts.

God loves you! You aren’t letting Him down because you weren’t holding Him up! Choose the plans of the Lord over your own!
BE ASKING GOOD QUESTIONS BECAUSE YOU WILL BE IN THE POSITION WHERE KINGS NEED WORDS OF VALUE. Your default is you. You have a moment to choose - what are you going to give them?
TODAY’S MESSAGE: Jude 17-21
17 But you, my dear friends, must remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ predicted. 18 They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires. 19 These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God’s Spirit in them.
20 But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,[g] 21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
Doesn’t this sound like today? We have to prepare because there are mockers mocking what we stand for. They will dress the right way, they will quote the Scriptures, they will make it all look good - but they are scoffers and mockers. They will call good evil and evil good. Which is why it’s important for US to know the Word of God.
Verse 20:
20 But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,[g] 21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
It’s HARD to wait and pray for God’s mercy. It’s HARD to be patient and wait for the Lord. We want to FIX IT.
God, you are merciful. Even when it doesn’t look like we think it should. Praying - choosing that our inside worth is based on Him, and He is in control. You are God…and I am not.
We are the people to be pushed closer to the gates of hell, and stand in the gap. We are called to be gatekeepers, to be the one who stand our ground and protect the flock. So let’s ask good questions before, during, and after the chaos.
But you good friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith…how? What’s the difference in faith and most holy faith? These are good questions to purpose. There’s a level up, a greater faith to seek.
Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit
Stand with them, tell them you see them and hear them. Ask: “How can I help? How about we just sit here together?” You don’t have to have the right thing to say. The SPIRIT knows what they need.
And work to be in God’s love. (Or: keep yourselves safe in God’s love)
What is God’s love? People ARE going to ask you. He is going to show us what love really is. And you need to be ready when people ask! The world defines love a certain way, but what is God’s love? To lay down your life for another.
God’s love is “I’m willing to get outside of myself and do it for someone else.”
This piece on Jude is the culminating part of asking a good question - leave with this challenge. If we are going to live the Word out of Jude, to build up our holy faith, and pray in the Spirit of God, and understand our work is to remain and be in God’s love, we need to take care of others in your sphere. We are in God’s love when we share God’s love with others.
Are you asking God to open your eyes to your sphere and what He wants you to do to minister in your sphere?
GO ASK A GOOD QUESTION. Because God wants to give YOU those messages!! Don’t be fearful and frustrated - go search it out!
